

Preview Play at Mickelson National
The completion of construction of Mickelson National Golf Course just west of Calgary has been a hotly anticipated event in the golf industry. The first-of-its-kind in Canada championship course designed by iconic golfer Phil Mickelson will be a premier private facility upon opening. In order to drum up excitement and kick-start membership sales in the year prior to opening, course management decided to host a Preview Play event inviting the general public to sample the 4-holes that were completed by summer 2019.
A campaign was designed to drive players and potential members to sign-up for the limited opportunity to try the course and as a data collection tool for Windmill’s email list. The campaign included the design of a micro-site to host online booking and the implementation of a large-scale social media and Google ad campaign. A significant amount of new leads were generated for the client as well as a marked increase in social media followers and engagement.
