The Windmill Golf Group owns and manages premier level golf courses throughout Southern Alberta. As with any recreation industry company, their main goal is to attract and maintain members and repeat clientele. The organization was looking for ways to add value for their customers and further connect as a community as part of their loyalty retention strategy. While devising a unique marketing approach it was decided that a quarterly digital lifestyle magazine with stories ‘from the golf course’ would fit the bill.
Acting in the capacity of managing editor, Scratch oversaw all aspects of project management including editorial calendar, story ideas, copywriting, editing, layout, design and publishing. Story ideas included the mental health benefits of golf, member stories, gardening lessons from the groundskeeper and recipes from the club kitchens.
